MentorGoat waitlist: privacy statement

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Who we are

MentorGoat is made by Aikin B.V. · KvK 83095322 · The Hague · The Netherlands. Aikin B.V. decides what MentorGoat collects and why. In data-protection language, we are the "controller". Questions, or any of the rights below: info@aikin.io.

Who the waitlist is for

You must be 16 or older to join. If you are under 16, please do not sign up.

What we collect

When you join we keep five things: your email address, the time you signed up, the language of the page you signed up on (Dutch or English), where you came from, and which option(s) you ticked: hear when the app is in the App Store, and/or join the test phase. "Where you came from" means the name of the website that linked you here (for example reddit.com, never the full address of the page) and the campaign tag in the link, if there was one. No name, no password, no payment details.

Why

We use your email address only for what you ticked: one email when MentorGoat is available in the App Store, and/or emails inviting you to the test phase and telling you how to join. Right after you sign up we also send you one email confirming that you are on the list and what you ticked. Each email is in the language of the page you signed up on. No newsletter and no marketing series. We do not sell your address, and we do not give it to anyone for their own use.

On what grounds

Your consent, which you give by ticking an option and submitting. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@aikin.io.

Changing your choices

To change what you ticked, email info@aikin.io.

How long we keep it

We keep your details until we have done everything you ticked (sent the App Store email, and/or the test phase has ended), and delete them at the latest 12 months after you signed up. Sooner if you ask at info@aikin.io.

The companies that help us

They act on our instructions only, and each works under a data-processing contract with us.

Company What it does for us Where the data sits
Supabase stores the waitlist Frankfurt, Germany
Vercel hosts this page United States
Resend sends our emails to you United States

Our website host, Vercel Inc. (USA), receives your internet address and the city/country it points to whenever you load the page, keeps short technical logs to run and secure the site, and handles this under its data-processing agreement with us, which includes the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not pass your address to Apple or Google. The test-phase invitation contains a link you use yourself.

Records our hosting keeps

Like any website, the companies that host this page and our database keep standard records of requests, including internet addresses. They use these to keep the service running and to protect it from abuse. They are deleted within 12 months.

Sending data outside Europe

Your email address is stored in Europe. Where a company above is based outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The waitlist page and this statement set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, pause our use of it while a question is resolved, send it to you in a portable form, or stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interests. Where you gave consent (joining the waitlist) you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect what we did before. Write to info@aikin.io; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle it you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

Changes

If we change this statement we update the date at the top.
